The Spooky Special is the Texas State Railroad's Halloween-themed excursion through the East Texas Piney Woods between Palestine and Rusk. Costumed passengers ride vintage coaches behind steam or diesel power as the train rolls through 25 miles of woodland. A family-friendly seasonal special; expect themed décor in the cars and trackside surprises along the route.
