About Brandywine Museum of Art
Brandywine Museum of Art presents nineteenth- and twentieth-century American art in a former mill with a modern glass-and-steel addition overlooking the river. Its collection emphasizes the art and landscape of the Brandywine region while placing that work in broader American traditions.
The museum is particularly known for N. C., Andrew, and Jamie Wyeth, but its holdings also include American illustration, landscape, still life, portraiture, and decorative work. Changing exhibitions mean the exact objects on view can differ from one trip to the next.
