About Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia
The Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia uses 11 permanent living-history exhibits to interpret how European, African and Indigenous peoples shaped a distinctive regional culture.
Costumed interpretation and agricultural work vary by season and weather. Dated photos do not guarantee a particular interpreter, task, crop or open building.
Plan three to four hours on foot for the roughly two-mile loop. Main Old World and New World routes are paved, but gravel, brick, lawn and varying grades remain.
A six-seat shuttle loops about every 10 minutes during published hours, and golf carts are rented for a nominal fee first-come. Confirm both before relying on them.
