About Gilman Village

Gilman Village is a mixed-use shopping and dining district built from houses and commercial structures preserved from Issaquah's historic past. Marvin and Ruth Mohl began assembling the village in 1972 to save buildings threatened by redevelopment and create a home for independent businesses.

The current center combines more than forty shops, restaurants, services, and creative businesses along landscaped paths and boardwalks. The historic setting is part of the experience, but each tenant remains an independent business with its own inventory, prices, reservations, and operating hours.

The village works especially well after a trolley or depot visit because it adds food, coffee, gifts, apparel, plants, records, art, and services without pretending to be part of the museum ticket. Use the live directory before choosing a specific business.
