About Klamath & Western Railroad

Klamath & Western Railroad is an independent nonprofit miniature railroad at 36951 South Chiloquin Road, beside but organizationally separate from Train Mountain. The Train Mountain visitor page sends Saturday riders to Klamath & Western's own parking lot and entrance about 100 feet east of the Train Mountain driveway, preventing the two ride programs from being mistaken for one another.

The current official schedule publishes 18 Saturday public run days in 2026. Six remain at this review: August 15, 22 and 29; September 5; and Pumpkin Express dates October 17 and 24. The Pumpkin Express homepage specifically lists 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for those two October days. The regular schedule image does not clearly publish a universal operating time, so visitors should not transfer the Pumpkin hours to every remaining date.

The club traces its roots to Ed St John's Over the Hill Live Steamers. Train Mountain later acquired the land and track while Klamath & Western retained trackage rights and continued public run days. The club's history says public donations support the summer rides; no fixed current fare is posted on the reviewed schedule.

Official pages do not publish a complete accessible path from the separate parking lot through miniature-train boarding, seating, restroom and picnic areas. Contact the club about the exact visit.
