The place
About North Conway Model Railroad Club
North Conway Model Railroad Club formed in 1975 and occupies part of the former Boston & Maine freight house in the Conway Scenic rail yard. Its North Conway and Crawford Notch Railroad is a roughly 500-square-foot HO layout.
The layout models the late-1940s-to-early-1950s transition era, including North Conway Station and yard, Crawford Notch scenery, a seaport, paper and wood products, granite, textile and shoe industries, and both steam and diesel operations.
Admission is free and staffing is entirely volunteer. The club says it is usually open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in late spring, summer, and early fall, but explicitly warns that any session can change without notice.
