The place
About Northlandz
Northlandz turns the model-railroad part of a train day into a substantial destination. Its indoor miniature landscape is built vertically through canyons, bridges, tunnels, towns, and many operating-train scenes rather than around a single flat layout.
Founder Bruce Williams Zaccagnino began the project as a home layout in the 1970s and moved it to the current purpose-built Flemington site in 1996. The venue now combines the miniature world with art and doll collections, a hobby and gift shop, children’s areas, events, and a separately sold outdoor train experience.
This is not part of Black River & Western and no combined ticket is implied. The two attractions are close to Flemington Station, but Northlandz typically merits two to three hours on its own. Pair them only when the train schedule leaves a generous buffer.

Layered miniature railroad
Tall bridge work, canyons, tunnels, and many rail scenes create a walk-through experience rather than a conventional tabletop layout.

Northlandz is about 0.6 road mile from Flemington Station and about 5.5 road miles from Ringoes Station. It is the strongest independent train-themed pairing in the local ecosystem, but it has separate admission and its own operating calendar.
