About WheatonArts & Museum of American Glass
The strongest link to the train trip is regional industry: southern New Jersey’s glassmaking tradition grew from the same forests, sand, transport routes and skilled labor that shaped the railroad’s territory.
Current 2026 admission includes the Museum of American Glass, Folklife Center and artist studios. Glass and pottery demonstrations, exhibitions, shops and the nature trail make this a multi-hour stop rather than a quick roadside exhibit.
The campus is open seasonally April–December, Thursday through Sunday 11 a.m.–4 p.m., with event-day changes and listed holiday closures. It asks for two weeks’ notice for special accommodations.
