Departure choices
The published options are 10 a.m., noon, 2, 4 and 6 p.m. Check your date and seating class.
Duration and time zone
The Santa train takes about 60 minutes and operates on Central Time, even though much of Indiana uses Eastern Time.
Young children
Ages zero to two ride on an adult’s lap without a separate seat. Different First Class options are sold by room or whole car.
Arrival
Arrive at least 30 minutes before departure; the train cannot hold for late passengers.

Would an overnight stay help?

Compare your departure time and drive home before deciding. An evening train or a long journey may make staying nearby useful. Secure the correct holiday train first, then check lodging independently; no hotel or regular-excursion booking establishes holiday admission.
