The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens is the most weather-resilient substantial add-on in this Hamburg ecosystem. Its historic conservatory contains twelve connected greenhouses within more than twelve acres of indoor and outdoor gardens, with a self-guided route through tropical, aquatic, desert and seasonal collections.

Current standard hours are daily 10 a.m.–4 p.m., with the official visit page listing 2026 exceptions and a final admission cutoff. Standard admission is $19 adults, $17 seniors and students, $9.50 for ages 3–12, and free for children two and under with a ticket. Check the live page because events, closings and construction can alter the ordinary plan.

Free parking is available beside the conservatory and along South Park Ring Road. Most areas and accessible restrooms are ADA-compliant, but the historic structure can present mobility challenges in some locations. A limited number of wheelchairs are available first come, first served. There is currently no café, so plan food elsewhere.
