About Buffalo History Museum Train Gallery
The Buffalo History Museum’s Train Gallery uses early-1900s replica trains, more than 200 feet of track, a scale Erie Canal lock and 100 miniature buildings to depict nineteenth-century Buffalo and Western New York. The Rail Barons volunteer group maintains the operating display.
The Train Gallery is part of the museum at 1 Museum Court rather than a separate ticketed attraction. Current museum hours are Wednesday through Saturday 10 a.m.–5 p.m. and Sunday noon–5 p.m.; Monday, Tuesday and national holidays are closed. Admission is pay what you wish, with $12 recommended.
Complimentary parking is available in the museum’s public lot. The museum says its exhibits are accessible to wheelchairs and mobility devices and offers sensory resources; visitors with specific questions can call the main number before arriving.
