About Centre County Library Historical Museum
Centre County Library’s Historical Museum occupies the Miles-Potter-Humes House, an early nineteenth-century Georgian home in downtown Bellefonte. The setting is part of the visit: local history is interpreted inside a building that has carried its own civic and family history for more than two centuries.
Collections address industrial heritage, influential Centre County residents, textiles, and everyday life across Bellefonte and surrounding communities. The institution also maintains photographs, oral histories, postcards, and textiles, with digitized collections and virtual exhibits available online.
