• ArriveArrive approximately 20 minutes before the time printed on your ticket. Departures leave on time and operate in coordination with active freight traffic
• ParkingUse Bellefonte municipal metered spaces and public lots. BHRS lists meter enforcement from 8 a.m.–8 p.m. Monday–Saturday, notes that rates vary, and directs visitors to posted signs
• AccessibilityThe historic trains are not wheelchair accessible and boarding uses steep stairs. Volunteers can assist if desired, but contact info@bellefontetrain.org before travel to discuss individual needs
• RestroomsBHRS says a restroom is available on the train; ask the car host for its location
• Remaining 2026 Train DatesTicketed train excursions are currently published for October 17 and October 24. The official train page and FareHarbor catalog agree on four products and no later inventory
• October 17Apple Harvest Special departs at 10 a.m. for a roughly four-hour trip with a two-hour Curtin Village layover. Mountain’s End runs 2:30–5:30 p.m. with a 45-minute Lemont Granary layover and complimentary cider and donuts
• October 24Bald Eagle Flyer Lunch Train runs 11 a.m.–3:30 p.m. with a one-hour Tyrone layover and included lunch. Halloween Special offers one-hour sessions at 4 and 5:30 p.m.
• Train FaresApple Harvest and Mountain’s End are $30 adult and $25 child. Bald Eagle Flyer is $55 adult and $50 child. Halloween Special is $15 adult and $10 child. Recheck the live checkout before purchase
• Motorcar DatesSeparate walk-up motorcar rides are published October 3 and 4 from 2–7 p.m. at Axemann Titan SOUTH and October 31 from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. at Bellefonte Station. Current fare is $5 for all ages
• BoardingTicketed Bellefonte excursions and the October 31 motorcar event use the station at 320 West High Street. The October 3–4 motorcar rides use Axemann Titan SOUTH; confirm that event location before travel
• Weather And ChangesTrains run rain, snow, or shine. Times are approximate, and equipment or schedules may change because excursions use active freight railroad infrastructure
• Refunds And TransfersBHRS can fully refund tickets up to 48 hours before departure. Transfer requests must also be made at least 48 hours ahead; late and no-show tickets are not transferable
• Food And DrinkSmall snacks and nonalcoholic beverages are permitted. Alcohol is prohibited. Food is not normally served unless the specific product says otherwise
• AnimalsOnly trained service animals are permitted. They must remain controlled and leashed or harnessed; pets and emotional-support animals are not accepted

BHRS preserves two Budd RDC-1 rail diesel cars. BHRX 9167 was built in 1953 as New Haven No. 40, later served Penn Central, PennDOT, and SEPTA, and returned to Bellefonte in 2023 after a long mechanical project. BHRX 9153 was built in Philadelphia in 1962 for the Reading Company and later served SEPTA and MBTA; the society’s current history page says it returned to full operation in May 2025 and ran throughout the Nittany & Bald Eagle system that season. The separate rolling-stock page still describes 9153 as under restoration, so the newer dated history is used while the inconsistency is disclosed. Bellefonte Central snowplow No. 100 and wooden caboose No. 103 are static displays beside the station, not passenger equipment. Exact railcar and motorcar assignments can change.
