About Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum
The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum preserves North Tonawanda’s amusement-manufacturing story in the original Allan Herschell Company factory complex. It combines industrial history with operating artifacts: the 1916 Number One Special carousel, a kiddie carousel, mechanical-music displays, a workshop setting and hands-on family interpretation.
The official 2026 visitor page publishes Monday–Saturday hours of 10 a.m.–4 p.m. and Sunday hours of noon–4 p.m. General admission is $12 for adults, $9 for seniors and students, $6 for ages 2–16, and free for children under two. Admission includes two ride tokens; extra tokens are $1.
Kiddieland is a separate $6-per-child, 30-minute add-on for children 34–52 inches tall and runs Wednesday–Sunday through a timeslot system. The museum recommends calling or reserving at the gift shop; antique rides also carry individual height and weight rules, so adults should read the current visitor page rather than promise every child every ride.
