Daniel G. and Carole L. Kamin Science Center, formerly Carnegie Science Center, is a five-floor interactive museum on Pittsburgh’s North Shore. For a train-focused itinerary, its signature Miniature Railroad & Village is the strongest reason to pair it with the incline.

The model railroad recreates western Pennsylvania through hundreds of animated scenes set largely before 1940 and is included with general admission. The museum also includes live science experiences, Buhl Planetarium programs, Rangos Giant Cinema, and the USS Requin submarine when weather, river conditions, and maintenance permit.

The museum opened at this North Shore location in 1991 and adopted the Kamin name after a major family gift. Current public schedules change seasonally and can be affected by Acrisure Stadium events, so use the official ticket page for the exact date rather than relying on a static directory hour.
