About Parry Mansion Museum
Benjamin Parry completed the mansion around 1784 while developing mills along the Delaware River. The New Hope Historical Society now maintains the house, related structures, archives, and community-history programs.
Tour rooms use furnishings and decorative arts to follow more than a century of change during the Parry family’s occupancy. The Society says original Parry furniture and household objects remain among the collection, while each interpreted room represents a different period.
The same industrial story connects the house to both the railroad and the nearby Playhouse: Parry’s rebuilt New Hope Mill helped rename the settlement, and the former mill site later became the theater. A mansion tour therefore adds unusually direct context to the town around the depot.
