About Space Center Houston
Space Center Houston is the official visitor center of NASA Johnson Space Center, combining a 183,000-square-foot museum with spacecraft, human-spaceflight interpretation and NASA tram experiences. It deserves a half-day or full-day plan rather than treatment as a quick add-on.
Hours vary by date. The live hours calendar shows 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on several current weekdays and longer hours on selected weekends, so use the exact date rather than a generic weekly schedule. Timed admission is available online and onsite, with age-based price ranges that vary by date and purchase channel.
Current admission ranges are $24.95-$34.95 online or $29.95-$39.95 onsite for ages 4-11; $29.95-$39.95 online or $34.95-$44.95 onsite for ages 12+; and $27.95-$37.95 online or $32.95-$42.95 onsite for ages 65+. Ages three and under are free. Parking is $10 plus a service fee; members park free.
All buildings, restrooms, theaters and exhibits are described as wheelchair-accessible, with ramps, elevators, theater spaces, loan wheelchairs, sensory backpacks, Aira and advance ASL requests. NASA tram tours remain subject to availability, weather and NASA building closures. Service dogs are permitted with motion-simulator limits; pets and emotional-support animals are not. The Destiny Theater is listed unavailable through September 10, 2026.

Artifacts and exhibits connect Mercury, Apollo, shuttle and current exploration programs.
Use supported access services
Wheelchairs, sensory resources, Aira and advance interpretation requests broaden visit planning.
Pair it with the train
Why it belongs in a C.P. Huntington Train at Kemah Boardwalk trip
Space Center Houston is slightly farther than Armand Bayou but can anchor its own half or full day. Budget about 13 minutes from Kemah, reserve timed admission, add the $10 parking charge and secure any desired NASA tram experience before it sells out.
