The Trains
The Hoosier Heartland Trolley Co. preserves two of the relatively few surviving Indiana Railroad interurban cars: No. 429 and No. 437, each kept under its earlier Union Traction of Indiana identity as Union Traction 429 and 437. They sit among a short list of survivors from the 600-mile Indiana Railroad system — most other preserved IR cars live out of state at the Illinois Railway Museum, Seashore Trolley Museum, and Western Railway Museum — making these two a rare in-state link to Indiana's interurban age.
