The Trains
Primary power is 1956 F9 No. 4214, built for Erie Mining and now carrying a silver, black, and yellow Nickel Plate-inspired scheme. Nickel Plate Road GP7 No. 426, built in 1953, powers weekend passenger and caboose work. A 1950s 50-ton switching engine and restored 1954 EMD GP9 No. 200 serve as backup power. Passenger service uses three Santa Fe El Capitan Hi-Level coaches plus dining and lounge spaces, placing all passenger seating upstairs.
