About Allaire State Park Trails & Day-Use Area
Allaire State Park is the public landscape containing both Pine Creek Railroad and Historic Allaire Village, but neither organization is a state agency. The park’s own recreation includes marked trails, picnic facilities, freshwater fishing, birding and seasonal camping.
The state currently lists the gate open daily 8 a.m.–8 p.m. and the park office 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. The main day-use area has moderate trails near the parking area, while the roughly 800-acre South Side has longer marked multi-use trails and unmarked terrain that requires more preparation.
The park describes recreational and historic facilities as partially accessible and asks visitors to call for specific needs. Its official trail guide identifies more than 20 miles of marked trails, including a paved two-mile Capital to the Coast segment on a former railroad bed.
