The place
About Historic Allaire Village
Historic Allaire Village and Pine Creek Railroad share a state-park setting but are separately operated. The village interprets Howell Works through surviving workers’ housing, the manager’s house, blacksmith and carpenter shops, a general store, bakery, church and visitor-center exhibits.
On ordinary non-special-event weekends from April through November, current general admission is $5 for ages four and older; younger children are free. Historic homes and craft shops operate weekends 11 a.m.–4 p.m. from April through December, while January through March and December rely on announced special events.
Historic architecture creates real access limits. The organization documents accessible parking and main paths, portable ramps for several buildings, and first-floor access in key spaces, but some doorways, upper floors and the Enameling Building cannot accommodate wheelchairs. Call ahead for the exact buildings or programs that matter.
