About Williamsville Lehigh Valley Depot
The Williamsville Lehigh Valley Depot stands at 86 South Long Street. The Society acquired the property in 1990 and interprets the Lehigh Valley Railroad’s late-nineteenth-century push toward Buffalo and Niagara Falls, including its temporary use of the New York Central “Peanut Line.”
The property includes a small depot and documented railroad artifacts such as a Norfolk & Western caboose, Lehigh Valley diesel cab No. 252 and Railway Express Agency equipment. The event calendar—not a generic weekly-hours claim—is the dependable way to plan access after the summer open-house series ended August 8.
Remaining 2026 events include programs on August 18, 22 and 25; September 1 and a multi-part Fall Craft Fair day September 19; theater and music in October; family ghost stories October 24; and Santa at the Depot December 5. Several are community programs rather than railroad interpretation, so choose a date that matches the reason for visiting.
