History
Jerry Joe Jacobson acquired Ohi-Rail.
Jacobson began developing the Ohio Central Railroad system.
Ohio Central passenger excursions began between Sugarcreek and Baltic and continued for about 15 years.
Jacobson sold the Ohio Central system while retaining his historic railroad collection.
The museum's current history says construction of the 18-stall roundhouse was completed.
Founder Jerry Joe Jacobson died on September 13.
The current public calendar extends through Touch-A-Truck, Touch-A-Train on August 7.

Jerry Joe Jacobson acquired Ohi-Rail in 1984, developed the Ohio Central Railroad beginning in 1988, and ran Sugarcreek-Baltic passenger excursions for about 15 years. After selling the Ohio Central system in 2008, he retained historic equipment and built the Sugarcreek roundhouse, completed in 2010 according to the museum's current history. The Jerry and Laura Jacobson Foundation owns and operates the nonprofit museum and continues preservation, restoration, interpretation, and education work.
