The current collection inventory names an EMD FL9, SPV-2000, EMD SW-8, handcar 94, GE 25-ton locomotive, Alco S-4, GE 44-ton locomotive, Trackmobile, New Haven baggage car 3841, coach 4414, 8600-series coaches, Central Vermont boxcar 43022, Grand Trunk Western 515747 and other structures and equipment. A 2025 post described wooden cabooses pulled by a 44-ton locomotive plus pump-car and speeder rides, but that consist cannot be transferred to 2026. The museum occupies the original Columbia Junction Freight Yard in Willimantic and reconstructs a six-stall roundhouse on its original foundation. National Railway Historical Society roundhouse documentation identifies the recreated structure as a 2000 reconstruction associated with an 1892 site and a 60-foot turntable. Heritage Railway Association reporting says the manually operated turntable was moved from Edaville in 1994 and placed in the recreated roundhouse pit in 2001. The reviewed official museum pages do not support a precise museum-founding year, so no such date is asserted.
