The Hagerstown Roundhouse Complex is constructed in 1939 as a 25‑stall roundhouse and shop that serves as the primary maintenance hub for locomotives and cars in Western Maryland. For more than five decades the facility anchors the region’s railroad employment. The roundhouse structure is demolished on March 13 1999. The Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum later occupies the site at 300 South Burhans Boulevard, preserving Western Maryland, N&W and B&O memorabilia as a static, non‑operating museum.
