History

See full history

Orr Family Farm is a family agritourism farm in Oklahoma City whose calendar runs largely around its September-to-October Pumpkin Patch and its Christmas lights season. The property entered the historical record on May 20, 2013, when the Moore tornado crossed it at EF4 intensity: up to 100 horses were reported killed at the Celestial Acres horse training area on the grounds, every building there was leveled or swept away, and a 10-ton propane tank from the farm was hurled more than half a mile through the air. Surveyors later judged the tornado was likely at EF5 strength over the property, though damage indicators only supported an EF4 rating. The farm continues to operate today as a seasonal family attraction, with its ridable miniature trains running as the Orr Family Farm Railroad.
