History

The Rossville Depot Railroad Museum is operated by the Danville Junction Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society, which maintains it as a railroad museum in the village of Rossville in Vermilion County, Illinois. The museum stands among the small town's cluster of heritage attractions — the Rossville Historical Society Museum, Christman Park, and the Hubbard Trail Monument — in a community that grew up along the old Chicago-to-Danville trading route, a path that became the state's first highway in 1833 and part of the Dixie Highway in 1914.
